I'm actually really angry about it all; mostly because she got truly excellent care; she got really well looked after and had she told the truth about the accident in the first place it'd've never gone to social services, but because she lied about it, and then told the truth later, that's what put up red flags.
I talked to another nurse about her today; turns out she said to her that her child's behaviour was pretty normal for her; she's 2 and has a lot of tantrums; further more she wasn't distressed when she attended, she was throwing a tantrum part way through treatment. That nurse then gave *extra* care and assistance to the mum because she thought she might struggle getting family and stuff back to the car.
It makes me feel very uncharitable about these people. Everyone's been really nice about it at work though (the people I've talked to); they've all been "what?! you had a complaint? but you're so nice" which is, well, nice :-)
