Some days just aren't meant to be
Jul. 14th, 2004 06:48 pmSo, uh, I dropped my phone a few weeks back, and since then it's been, well, just a little odd. Not really odd, not "oh god it's going to die" odd, but occasional inability to connect to the network, or not noticing that the handsfree had been removed... Stuff like that. Irritating but not desparate.
So, uh, last night I plugged it in...
Beep!.... Charging
And I stick my head down on the pillow and start to doze off. Suddenly
BEEEEP! "NOT CHARGING".
Oh, arse, I think. Check it's plugged in, and everything is okay. And off it goes again, and then no, not charging. So I check it over, dozily, and plug it in hoping that it'll do something (or not get any worse at any rate) 'cos I need the phone today (I'm meant to be meeting someone and the only method of contact is mobile phone).
So anyway, I wake up and it's one bar off flat. One single bar. It obviously had discharged, not charged, overnight. Argh! So I switch it off and go to work. After work I switch on the phone, rush round, buy 'new' second hand phone.....As I'm buying it, the old phone rings.
Phone rings, I try to answer it, get cut off as single bar of charge vaporises.
I dunno if that's the person that I'm meant to be meeting that's rung, because the phone is unchargable.
Grrr!
And to add insult to injury, while I was in the shower one of my friends phones, twice! Once on the mobile, once on the land line; do I manage to catch her on the phone? No.....And, and I've realised the new phone is tattier than I thought and that I should have bought other one at same price. Grr.
Grrrrrr!
