So I followed this link right....
Feb. 3rd, 2004 09:51 pmHrm, calm, calm, calm.
Anyway before I begin this evenings symposium I think I probably want to chat about the universes impact on me. So we had those gales, which were wet and cold and dismal. Fortunately for me I was having my wisdom teeth viciously ripped from my aching jaw (all 5 of them, yes, 5, that's not a typo) - and then a friend brought me home. Said same friend then brought Aisling home, it having rather suddenly having started to snow.
Britain, incidentally, stops when it snows. Other countries manage feet of snow, we get 5 minutes of snow and voila we stop. It's quite entertaining really.
Aaaaannyway, in the gales my recently repaired, not exactly shiny (alright, downright shabby looking) MZ decided to hit the deck, at some speed it'd appear. The handlebars rotated in their mounts and my brake-lever *and* wing mirror were, uh, destroyed.
I've done my best with the mirror - but there's only so much impact adhesive and cardboard can do for a mirror. Yes, so, that's slightly irritating.
What's more irritating is, uh, this which comes courtesy of Kittenarmy. 'Gateways to Better Education' is a group which, well, mmm, they claim to 'help public school students and educators gain a better understanding of and appreciation for the value and contributions of Christianity to society and the world'. I wouldn't exactly agree with that....
I shan't rant, it's unbecoming.
Why, exactly is liberal a dirty word in America? A country which alledgely values liberty so very much.
