I can't imagine what pressure you'd have to apply to a doctor to make them *kill* someone else. I mean, it's against the Hippocratic Oath (playing God in the modern version, I suppose; definately a failure to keep them from harm and injustice in the traditional one).
Yes, she was going to die, and if she'd *wanted* the ventilator switched off, that would have been okay with me; but to kill her when she wanted to remain alive until she'd seen her mother again? It's just evil.
