Exactly how did this happen?

So, for the past week I've done an average of one load of laundry a day; we've done multiple loads ever since the washer/drier arrived... And I'll grant the pile of laundry is smaller.

But not as much smaller as it should be. It peaked at around 5' high with the dead washer/drier; but it's still more than one laundry basket full...

I guess during the week you have been processing the backlog you have also been wearing, and therefore dirtying, more clothes...

I think we are all too clean nowadays.

Yeah, we'd changed the sheets, and not washed the previous lot. It had all my work-clothes in, which I'd not bothered to wash because I didn't nead them (that's 4 pairs of jeans and a bunch of manky teeshirts)... Kathryn went on holiday, I did nights...and failed to do the remaining washing - not that I could have, because the machine was dead...

...then it was nearly 2 more weeks until we had a working machine. That's my excuse.
